Hello geeks,

just wanted to share my recent detailing project. I was supposed to do a Green Gallardo, but the night before, the owner called and going to use the gallardo for morning run or whatsoever. So we were gonna reschedule and I got his other car to detail in the meantime.

The Jag's curve is amazing. some curves were quite difficult to polish but it enhances the appearance of luxury car. anyway, let's get started.

ammo:
CG Citrus Wash and Gloss (foam wash and two bucket)
CG Diablo and Iron X (wheels)
Tar X (rocker panels)
Soft99 Claybar
Menzerna SF 4000 + 5,5" LC CCS Constant Pressure White Polishing Pad (majority)
CG V36 + 5,5" LC CCS Constant Pressure Orange Cutting Pad (deeper defects)
Dewalt 849x
CG G6 Hypercoat (tyre dressing)

LSP:
ArtDeNano (paint and glass)

I love the XF, beautiful cars, was my pick until I found all the Jag quirks, like you can't change your own freakin oil!

Looks real good, but when I saw Art De Shine, I was expecting to see the work of the detailer Art Hernandez.

What techniques, tools and products do you use around emblems for cleaning & polishing?

thanks everyone.

1. sorry swanicyouth to disappoint you :p artdeshine is a singaporean coating line. google them, pretty awesome. different hardness (from 1H-9H) and different effects (darkening, hydrophobic, slick, etc) can combo on top each other.
2. cleaning deposits i use TarX and acid cleaner with small painting brush because APC didnt cut it.
3. 4" pad with rotary to polish around emblems. smaller areas, I cut old buffing pad into 4 to make a hand polisher.
4. Dewalt is awesome! ive been using DA and recently switched to rotary. not as difficult and scary as I read around the forum. it fits pretty good in my grip and does the job A LOT faster with crisper result. more combo to learn to minimize hologram, but overall I am pleased.
