So yesterday I seized the opportunity to detail my buddy's Toxic Orange 2011 Challenger R/T. After a wash I buffed out the car with D300 on a Meg's MF cutting pad. Then went right to CG Blacklight to clean, seal and prep for the Souveran. This is my third time using Souveran and it's so delightful to work with. I'm looking forward to comparing it to my SSII that I just got in today. Tires were dressed with CG new-car dressing and trim was treated with Poorboys Trim Restore. No wonderful pics because I did this overnight but I'll try to get some nice full sun shots later on.

Very nice. I love that color. The souveran really makes it shine. What is that equipment in the background?

They're centrifugal blowers that we use here at the wastewater plant I work at. They're loud and annoying to detail next to but oh well. lol

The Challenger looks great Mike! I'm sure your friend was more than pleased with the results!

Thanks Richard, he definitely was. I only charged him a full tank of gas in my Trans Am. I love detailing for gas when it costs this much. lol

Great job! I love that color. It wasn't available when i ordered my '12 Challenger so

I got the silver. Nice work!

Mike,

An absolutely gorgeous car to detail and that color is magnificent!! The finish looks dripping wet and I'll bet your buddy is impressed!! :props:

Gorgeous work! :dblthumb2:

Love that color for sure, glad orange is coming back a little bit as an option!

Is CG Blacklight an AIO? What pad did you use to apply it? The reason I ask is that I've been debating following D300 and mf pads on my cars with Duragloss 501 on the tangerine Hydrotech pad but wasnt sure if this combo would work. BTW, the pics are beautiful.

I believe that most people see it as an AIO. I used a white CCS pad with light pressure just to give the car a quick seal and maybe benefit from the glazing characteristics of it. I think the D300 finishes up great and really doesn't "need" a finishing polish if you feel like skipping that step.
