Today I detailed my 2012 Ford Focus. This car has almost 75k miles and sits outside 24/7. It is a work vehicle and gets a lot of hard use.
Process:
1. Cleaned tires and wheel wells with LA Totally Awesome.
2. Cleaned plastic hub caps with Zep Citrus.
3. Power washed exterior.
4. Treated front and rear bumpers with Optimum Power Clean at 1:4 dilution to loosen bug guys and grime.
5. Foamed with Meguiars Hyper Wash mixed with some Optimum Power Clean. Two bucket wash with Maxi Suds. View attachment 26650
6. Iron X treatment.
7. Clay.
8. Re-foamed and power washed off residue then dried with Master Blaster and some waffle weave towels.
9. Taped off all plastic and rubber trim pieces.
10. Polished pillars with M205 on an orange hydro tech 4 inch pad with a PC 7424.
10. Polished all the tight spots with the PC and M205. Polished the hood, doors, roof, and trunk with the Flex 3401 VRG with a white pad and Optimum Hyper Polish new version.
10. IPA wipe down.
11. Menzerna Power Lock followed by Collinite 845.
12. Tires and trim pieces were coated with Optimum Opti Bond.
On to the pictures: didn't get too many, this job took me the better part of 7 hours.
