I did a Tri-coat (pearl) Buick GS this weekend. First, the factory paint is terrible, micro bubbles and severe orange-peel.

3M Clay w/ CG's ClayLuber
M205 polish on DA
3M Hand Glaze
3M Performance Finish
CG's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner.

The exhaust finishers are terrible on these cars. Very coarse and unfinished stainless steel that holds exhaust "soot" horribly!

the factory paint finishes are not the greatest, but i do like this color. cars is looking good afterwards, you did a great job on it

I have a 2013 Encore with the Tri Coat and I'm actually impressed with the factory finish. Could be that mine was built overseas, not sure where the Regal is assembled. Nice looking Regal.

Thanks Guys! IIRC, the Regal is built in Canada.

If you still have the sticker on your vehicle it may tell you how much of the vehicle was overseas part vs. local.

Nice work. I really like all the new tri-coats and pearls manufacturers are coming out with.

Also, here's what a picture looks like "inserted" instead of attached. Took me about 15 seconds to upload the picture to "your" gallery here on AGO and then insert it.

I always tell people that if they're in this for the long run, that is the "forum thing" then teach yourself how to work with pictures on forums. I have articles on this with screenshots that show you exactly what to do. It's not that hard and more people will see your pictures if you insert them versus attach them.

:)

Thanks Mike, I inserted via the AGO IOS app, I'm on quite a few forums and use Tapatalk which SEEMS to have more options. Guess it need to play more.
Honestly, on my phone, your pic and mine look the same...

I work for GM and they have certainly turned there Buick line around. They are no longer targeting the older audience and styling there vehicles more aggressively to attract the younger 20-40 audience.

Great job, Joe!
