2014 Car Review - Cars detailed at Autogeek's Show Car Garage!


We had a LOT of really great cars get the show car treatment here at Autogeek in 2014. Here's a review in order with a picture of the car and a link to the full write-up.

I'd like to thank everyone that helped with these detailing projects and hope everyone had just as much fun taking these diamonds in the rough and turning them into glistening gemstones.

The link to the full write-up for each car is included and each write is like a how-to article filled with tips and techniques you can use on your own car in your own garage.

How to wetsand, cut and buff a gel-coat boat

This boat was really wiped out.... here's the after shots....

Here's how she started out...

I think this was the first machine wetsanding project in the U.S.A using the Rupes Duetto.

And to machine sand the black gel-coat hull, we used the Rupes 5" #3000 grit discs, 5" Rupes Interface Pads and the Rupes Duetto.

Rupes TA50 Mini Sander (used as a Mini Polisher)

And the first use of the Rupes TA50 with microfiber discs to remove oxidation in the intricate areas of the boat script.
