2014 Post SEMA New Product Review at Autogeek

This was a first for me...

In my life I've done at least a half a dozen before and after demo cars where I've taped a car down the middle and then only buffed out one side of the car. The deal is after the show or event showcasing the before and after results I always buffed out the other side of the car.

Here's probably the most recognized side-by-side, before and after demonstration.

Well last night... we only buffed out the one side... that means pj is driving around a car with one beautiful bright shiny side and one side is well... take a look....

We covered the passenger side up with microfiber cover-up towels to protect and preserve the ugly....

Here's the finished shot before we removed the tape. Frank took this standing in the bed of my truck which was also buffed out using the new Menzerna 3-in-1.

Wheels and tires were cleaned and detailed by Frank using the new DP Tire Coating Kit. Nice work Frank!

Later, if I have any free time I'll post the action shots of the work being performed using the new Sonax MAXCUT and the Flex PE8.

And "yes" pj is driving the car around with only half of it buffed out. We're all hoping he takes a picture of the face on the person that works at the rental car agency when he returns it.

:D

You Guys are:
A-really funny.
B-have a lot of free time on your hands.
C-Don't like Car rental agencies.
D-Puffed on some good stuff....
:dunno:

Thanks Mike & Autogeek for the opportunity to test out the new products. The new DP Tire Cleaner & Coating did a nice job with the tires. I really liked using the new Flex PE8, it was smooth, light weight, yet felt like a solid machine and stayed cool during use. :dblthumb2:

Thank you Mike and Autogeek and Pj for the opportunity once again. We were able to test out Sonax and new Menzerna...and Flex pe8 and also Pj showed us how to hand wax the car....i consider myself lucky to be able to go and do those things....to test products and tools...and to learn from all those guys who come to those clinics...yesterday was a blast...thanks again

I wonder what the reaction will be when he returns the rental car?

the new DP tire coating sure look nice!!!
thanks for sharing :xyxthumbs:

I think you guys need to film the returning of the car, seriously!

Incredible work gang on polishing out half of the Camaro! The driver side looks incredible now!

What pads and machine was used with the new Menzerna 3n1?

Menzerna 3:1 was not used on this ... Just sonax....menzerna was used on a truck that we dont have pictures yet....i do but Mike has to post it first

What LSP did you guys use to hand wax the car? Whats the advantage of it vs. using a soft foam applicator pad?

I'm sure they will try to say he did something to mess up the car. That is hilarious! And great work on that half.

Yeah, thats the irony. They will say the car is damaged, but it isnt. I hope he has the insurance and then it wont matter.

It will be funnier to see the discussions the car rental agency has to figure out how to "fix" the new damage? I guess they can run it through the car wash a few dozen times to try to even it out :)
