A message from Bruno Massel,
Our 2014 racing season got off to a late start due to a new off-track addition to my resume, hosting the new primetime show “Garage Squad” on the Velocity network. While being in production on two shows (including “TruckU” on Velocity) at the same time and taking delivery of my new COPO Camaro was a bit ambitious, it seemed to work itself out.
The recognition and media attention my team and sponsors receive as a result of my television career, is a huge bonus to my racing program. So, I’m happy to say that in 2015, I’ll continue to host both “Garage Squad” and “TruckU” on the Velocity network. I also had the opportunity to work with ESPN on the last few NHRA television broadcasts this year and will continue to do so when time permits next season.
Our 2014 racing season had numerous highlights; starting with runner-up finishes at the prestigious JEGS All-Stars and Lucas Oil Nationals. We improved on those runner-up finishes with multiple “class” victories at NHRA National events, the Lucas Oil divisional event in Topeka, KS and our proudest moment; our victory at the 60th annual US Nationals. All told, we had eight NHRA final round appearances and four wins on the season.
I wanted to take a moment and thank all of the great companies that supported my racing efforts in 2014! Autogeek.net, Chevrolet Performance, Lucas Oil, JEGS, Precision Turbo, Big Stuff3, K&N, Goodyear, PTC, Aeromotive and Kilgore Super-Lite transmissions.
The success we had in 2014 and the success we’ve had over the past decade is a direct result of the companies that support us. I look forward to working with you all again next season, as we chase our third NHRA World Championship in 2015!
I’ve attached a quick video compilation that my friends at Chevrolet put together on my behalf.
Sincerely,
Bruno Massel
