I detailed this car quite some time ago and finally got around to uploading the photos. The TESLA is such an amazing car, I loved everything about it from the moment I started hearing about them over the web. I was very impressed with the build quality and even the paint quality from such a young car manufacturer. Once the detail was complete, the owner kindly offered to take me for a ride and I can say there is no other feeling like it in the automotive world, its just plain awesome! This TESLA was was only a few months old and the client wanted to perfect the finish and make sure it has the best protection possible, so we agreed to apply Cquartz FINEST once the polishing work was done.
This car is a daily driver so it had its fair share of road grime from the summer rainstorms.
I began by cleaning the wheels, wheel barrels and inner fender liners.
Finished Wheel and dressed inner fender liner.
Pre-Detail Inspection
Once the car was washed, a clay bar was used to decontaminate the surface. Once that was complete, I began inspecting every inch of the car for any imperfections in the finish. I used small pieces of tape to flag areas that needed additional correction work.
Here you can see some haziness in the finish.
A some deeper scratches were found throughout the panels.
Here you can see some scratches in the piano black roof trim.
Each area that was taped off was carefully polished to remove the defect in the finish.
Piano black roof trim now corrected.
More defects easily visible in this area.
Now safely removed.
Once all polishing was complete, I made a final inspection to ensure the car was ready to have the protective coating applied.
Cquartz Finest Ceramic Paint Coating
Once the car was completely polished, Cquartz FINEST Ceramic Coating was applied to protect the finish.
