Hello everyone,
I'll be doing a paint correction and ceramic coating on a 2014 Yellow C7 next week. I wanted to get everyone's option on the products I plan to use. Hopefully someone in here has had experience with this paint already. The car only has 1,000 miles and is completely covered in swirls! I asked the owner before inspection how he washes the car and it was hurtful to listen to. He was drying with a bathroom towel and using older wash mitts without a rinse bucket. This created a magnitude of marks in the paint. He was very surprised to see the swirls after I showed him. I'm going to do this correction and coating for FREE....yes I said FREE. We traded services because he is a professional DJ and I need one for my wedding.
I plan to wash, decon w/ Iron x + clay mitt if needed, and blow dry.
Next, I plan to use my Rupes 21 with 5" backing plate, Rupes polish, and Rupes MF pads. Has anyone had any success with this combo on newer corvette paint?
After the correction I plan to either wipe down the car with Black Label Cleansing Polish or PDP paint cleaner. I will follow that up with Black Label Surface Coating on the glass, rims, and paint.
Feel free to provide your input!
