2014 Z/28 Tested!

I don't know if many people are going to pay 75k for that especially when the ZL1 is a lot less and has more horsepower. If they offered the Z28 with the carbon brakes as a option they could sell it for almost the same price.

That being said its still really badass.

This will be a limited run vehicle and yes, it is expensive. Also, for what the Z comes with as far as the new suspension setup derived from F1, The LS7 alone and other goodies it is warranted IMO.

It also outperforms the ZL1 in every category with less HP. From what I heard it ran 4 seconds faster than the ZL1 at the 'ring.

I love everything about it but there will not be many people out there that can afford it, that's for sure. I was raised a GM guy and between this and the new Z06 I've been drooling like crazy and hoping to come into some money...

There is plenty of people out there that can afford that car. Look at all the sports cars on the road today, these will sell plenty fast at that price range.

Its just like a motorcycle in that you are essentially buying racetrack performance in a street package.

I've expressed concern about the price (Compared to a C7 Vette) before on this forum, but now that all the specs have been released, i can appreciate this vehicle and find it a decent value. I wish BMW would release a hardcore version of their M3, harder than the Competition Pkg or GTS which was not avail in the US.

Too bad the dealers here in Hawaii will probably ask a $20k dealer markup on these.

Still don't like the look of the new Camaro.

Only thing that interests me on that whole car are the brakes, haha.

I'm not saying it's not worth that but to me these are tough times and not many people have $75K+ to dump into what's essentially a toy. I guess I can only speak for where I live though.

My GTO is essentially a toy now but I used it as a DD at one time. The difference is I bought it new in 2006 for $32K...

I didn't know Chevrolet had a Formula 1 program?

Interesting.
