2016 Camaro RS: Interrupted prepping to polish so glazed it!

I had already decontaminated and was getting ready to polish when I noticed that the windshield that I just had replaced by Safelite was leaking. So i stopped because i know when they replace the windshield sealant they are going to be crawling all over my car, so no need to polish now. I would just have to do it all over again. I had a bunch of swirls from where I was fooling around with installing different color vinyl stripes. So I went to my shelves to look for something to protect the paint until I can polish. I came across Chemical Guys Deep Reflection XP 1 Step Wax and Glaze. I figured this was a good time to try it out. It came out great. Thick glaze did fill some swirls and it has a great shine.

Good call holding off on any polishing, as always your Camaro looks, well, looks Bitchin!

Couple years back I owned a GTI, the windshield needed to be replaced and I had done it through Safelite. Being an Autogeeker, it killed me to have anybody come near my car, let alone work on it.

Anyways, I either got extremely lucky with my technician or maybe this is the standard of Safelite techs, but I had no issues with any added scratches or left over mess from sealant/glue.

I did tell him right off the bat though, I detail as a hobby and that I am very concerned about my car’s appearance and would appreciate him being extra careful around the car. I told him I’d be willing to assist if needed and he actually called a second tech to help him and allowed me to watch.

I hope other than the leak, your experience was as good as mine too!
 
Also, what’s the tent/pop up behind the car? Is that some sort of garage?

If so, that’s awesome!

That is the ShelterLogic Garage in a Box. IT was $400 at Tractor Supply and I had a 20% off coupon. It has been great. I put lights and outdoor speakers in it.

The Camaro looks awesome. I took a 2016 Camaro SS out for a ride while having service done on my truck a couple months back. Same color, wow is that a nice shade of gray.
