So before I begin I wanted to share how this particular job came about. The way this job came about was all because I asked a simple question on the clients Facebook post. So this client I'm friends with on facebook mainly because he was an old family friend who grew up with my brother. We haven't seen each other or spoke in years but regardless we are friends on social media. So one night I'm scrolling through and I see he posted up this awesome CLS that he just purchased for himself. Now normally I wouldn't go necessarily begging for business but I figured I would send congrats on the new purchase and ask him if he had any plans for paint and wheel protection. I figured worst case scenario I wouldn't get a response or I would land a sweet job.

Sure enough I got a message back from him and he was more than interested in what I had to offer. After speaking on the phone and giving him the information he wanted to do his own research. A couple days later he called very excited and couldn't believe this technology existed. He wanted the full range of coatings. Kenzo on the paint, wheels off treatment, glass, trim etc. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that opportunity to land jobs is always around and learning how to approach people or ask certain questions really can pay off in the end.

Onto the detail.

This 2017 cls had just a tick over 14k when it arrived and overall was in good condition. The paint besides the normal contamination from driving into the city everyday just had some minor swirling. The wheels however were a mess and took a bit of time to prep before coating.

Great work as usual Justin. Those CLS's are HOT!

:iagree: Yup, I'm with Don on that - thats a HOT car for sure! Look at that pearl paint "POP" in the sunshine. Super sexy looking car indeed. :dblthumb2:

Simply beautiful work as per usual Justin, you really brang all the beauty to the surface & made a sweet car into a show stopper. Awesome - thanks for taking the time to share this with us mate. :props:

What a super job! I'm jealous!! I have a 2017 CLS550, also in Diamond White and I can't get it to look quite as good as you did on your friend's car. Although the 550 is not quite up to the hp/torque of the AMG model, it is still a beast with over 400hp/450 ft.lbs. torque. I've got it going 4.6 sec. to 60 and that is all this old man could take!!

The car was purchased exactly a year ago so I have had all that time to experiment with different detailing products to see what looks best on this great Mercedes paint. To be honest, I had a lot of experimenting on this paint with my previous Mercedes, an ML350, which was in the same color. I loved that ML's "Diamond White" and wanted my CLS to be the same color.

After using almost everything I have settled on a few things that I think brings out the best: My weekly wash is one of two products - Duragloss 901 or CG Body Wash and Wax. Both give me a little pop so I don't always have to follow up with a drying aid or spray wax. My LSP is FK1000P in this terrible Texas summer but switch to Collinite 845 in the winter. I do a full detail just twice a year.

As a booster or "topper" I like to use several products: AquaWax/Fast Clean and Shine home brew mix; FK425, and when I have 845 on the car, I generally get a few ounces of it real liquid and place it in a mister bottle. I then use it as I would a quick detailer over the 845 LSP. The interior of the car is dedicated to Griots leather treatment and Protectent 303. Wheels are cleaned with Sonax or Mother's. Tire dressing is Duragloss 281. Windows are all cleaned with Stoner's with an occasional treatment of Duragloss Rain Repel. There is other stuff I use too now and then but these are my go-to products for this car.

I wish I had better photos (click on the thumbnails to enlarge) but you get the idea (the photos below show results with Polish Angel products). PA is excellent but I found the price was simply too much with not a whole lot of benefit over what I use now):

Sweet looking s550! Great job on it too. I have 2 more S550 coming in the next month or so. A all black one and a root beer metallic colored one. I agree. They are awesome cars for sure.

Amazing work Justin !!!!

Great job! Never heard of IGL Kenzo til now. Did some research on it very briefly but what made you decide to go with that brand coating versus others?

From a business standpoint I wanted to offer a professional level only coating lineup and wanted one where a company doesn't get involved with my business as far as pricing goes. Different demographics have different markets and some of the more common companies pro level coating requires crazy map pricing plus other monthly payments or buy ins. That was a main factor along with how well the products work, cost, ease of use etc.

Beautiful work! Looks like you like some McKee's STUFF! Just bought their liquid wax and will try that out some time soon. But again beautiful work!

AWESOME work on an awesome car right there!

I would love to do a pull from 70 mph to 150 mph in that ================
