So I know 9/10 of you guys run electric pressure washers and while I considered this I'm getting ready to move over seas and couldent find a dual voltage electricity unit that looked worth the while. So ran by sears and they had a display model on sale $300 off... So I picked it up! Now my only consern is that it's 3000 psi. How do you guys trim your gas units down? Just using a very wide 50-70 degree nozzle? Or should I pick up a larger diameter hose??? Also ordered an mtm foam cannon... Over nighted I'm so excited..

Side not cam foamer are these better than the mtm unit they look nice but twice the price.

Lots of gasoline powered pressure washers have both a pressure regulator and a throttle.
My Karcher has both and I can get down to 325psi.
I built an inline pressure gauge so I could test mine.

You probably received several nozzles with your pressure washer. If you use the widest dispersion that will effectively lower the water pressure at the surface you are washing.

But with a soap foamer cannon you do not have to worry about the pressure. The more pressure the thicker the foam.

Plus it's always a good idea to keep the end of the nozzle a foot or more from the surface. If there is a rock chip or a deep scratch in your car's paint it's possible that if you hit it "just right" it could get under the paint and lift and tear off a big piece of paint.

Sweet thank you. I picked up the display model so it actually did not come with any nozzles. I picked up an all in one unit that has 5 different sprayers in one so i hope that turns out good if not ill be going to pick up regular spray nozzles.

I need to get out and use this thing!!! I'm so excited to try it out! Good to know about the pressure and more foam!!
