I recently acquired some 303 Fabric Guard for the first time, and slightly less recently a car to use it on. I have been planning on using it on my convertible top as part of its pre-winter storage protection (will be stored outside).

That said, on the back of the bottle it pretty clearly says to use it above 70*F. Would bad things happen if I used it at, say, 40*F? Don't want to screw it up!

Thanks.

No, it just takes a lot longer to set. A LOT longer. I used the 303 Fabric Convertible Top Kit to clean my ragtop, and let it dry for about 16 hours in the garage. The air temperature in the garage was only about 58° so I set up a fan to blow over the roof to aid it in drying. I masked off the plastic rear window and all the adjacent areas and went to town with the 303 High Tech fabric Guard from the kit. With the fan blowing, I let it set for six hours before performing the misting test. Water still didn't bead, so I let it dry another six hours at which point I had to (reluctantly) pull the car out and head to work. It rained lightly and when I pulled into my spot at work I had a look... the top was dry, as if I'd waxed it. :)

Thanks for the input. I'm impressed:

I put some 303 HTFG on my friends brand new seats for his '87 Fiero GT. Like mentioned, it takes a lotttt longer to dry but I shouldn't effect the performance of the product. You can't rub water into his seats if you try
