I have a ton of CCS pads . . . they are falling apart.

need to replace the pads. What is everyone using?

I have been using Lake Country 5.5" CCS pads with my Flex some people like to go a bit bigger on the Flex backing plate but its a matter of what you like.

I've really enjoyed the Hydro-Tech 6.5" cyan and tangerine. In fact I've practically worn the tangerine out already. Time for a new order.

I started out with ccs 6.5, then bought some cobra cross groove 6.5. I really like both. Now I'm planning on going with edge in the spring. Detailing season is about over for me... :(

Tested out both the Kompressor 7" Pads and the Kompressor 6" Pads for compounding, polishing and waxing using both the rotary buffer and the dual action polisher yesterday.

Comments...

  • Excel at working on curved panels.
  • Indestructible under hard buffing.
  • Easy, easy easy to clean using the Griot's Garage Pad Cleaner.
  • Worked well with both the rotary buffer and the DA Polisher.

Will update the 1967 Starline Deville - Extreme Makeover thread as soon as I can get to it with the results from using the Menzerna Product Line with the Kompressor Foam Buffing Pads

:)

Wait till you try 105 and a white 7" Kompressor pad win win combo :xyxthumbs:

I started out with the CCS pads then switched to The Edge adapter and pads and never looked back. You can go from 4",6" and 8" foam or wool with the push of a button and the pads are double sided. You can't beat it.

I've used the LC 6.5 flat and the Kompressor 6". The basic flat pads have done a great job on my car. However, the Kompressor, which I've used with glaze only, has more flexibility, particularly over curved surfaces.
