I though the product description for this one was interesting.

3D Car Care - Bead It Up - Hydrophobic Polymer Bead Maker for Ceramic (3dproducts.com)

3D BEAD IT UP is the ultimate spray-on paint and multi-surface protectant that actually does what similar products claim. There are hundreds of spray-on protectants that all claim to make water bead while protecting the paint. Most will do this initially but not only do they not last very long the also leave the paint feeling tacky or rubbery. Many also turn the surface into a dust magnet defeating at least one of the reasons we all detail our cars.
3D BEAD IT UP is a costly formula, not a cheap me-too product. It uses the best chemistry created in 3D’s own laboratory. Some of the ingredients 3D BEAD IT UP are unique in the world. They use proprietary chemistry invented by 3D.
So good it can stand on its own as a dedicated sealant. While we market this as a spray-on coating booster and topper for other waxes and sealants, the bonding of this product to a surface is so strong plus the hydrophobic surface it creates as well as the gloss, shine and most important – slickness – you can actually use this as a booster, a topper, or a stand-alone sealant. It simple leaves other products in this category in their own dust.

Are you gonna take one for the team and fire some up?

LOL! I'm trying to be good and stick with what I have for now but at some point definitely. Probably not until Spring though. :xyxthumbs:

Marketing........yawn....

There are reviews on YouTube if you care to search, first one I watch and read comments...bead maker was a better product....they say

With any of these products LSP/toppers it's all about what "conditions" they were put up against...sun/rain/snow/mud/bugs...it goes on and on...

Yet one more choice in the super wide array of products. We'd probably be complaining if we didn't have such choices though.

I haven't found enough "good" reviews of this product yet. I'm always skeptical too with many of the comments. "This stuff sucks it streaked!" only to find out it was applied on a warm panel in the sun etc. I've done the same thing when it came to Hyper-Seal. User error. But in time reviews will be somewhat telling.

Good question, I'm not sure. The product description is recent that I do know because a month or so ago I was browsing their site.

I have some and I've used it. First time was to top up after a wash on my coated daily, and it served its purpose well as a topper. It's hard to gauge longevity when used in this fashion but it kept the beading up nicely as the coating is a little weak in spots.

Second time so far was on a customer's vehicle I did a couple months ago. Have not seen them since so I have no report on longevity yet again.

Third time was to top a fresh HD Speed job my brother and I did on his Dodge Mega Cab truck we did last weekend. I'll ask him how to get some beading pics next wash.

Overall the user experience I've had with it is positive though. It doesn't streak like some ceramic-based products and really is easy to apply and wipe off. It leaves a really nice and slick surface without attracting dust at all. It smells great and it's affordable. Pick some up and give it a try, with how cheap and easy it is to use I don't think you will be disappointed.

I have a bottle and i agree with your above statements. Once i run out i will be buying a gallon. Its been a month and a half since i used it as a stand alone product on wifes jeep, and bout the same as a coating topper.

Next time i get to wash it ill take a shot or two of the beading b4/after

I got mine this past spring.

I really like it! Super easy to use, very slick, durable, smells good - a bit intense, but good.

Unfortunately, I don't have a vehicle available to test it's ability to endure a winter. But as of now, I would trust it to survive.

I wonder if Mike Phillips has re-written all of 3D's product description pages? I'm going through some of them and man, the claims seem to be going in HARD on the competition. I really like the emphasis that they are a MANUFACTURER and produce all their chemicals in-house where as others are essentially fakers, lol. And with recent revelations (at least to me anyway) that other brands are using re-branded products from suppliers like B&B Blending, that really puts a question mark on these countless unheard of car care product companies popping up everywhere and whether or not their stuff is original and legit.

Exactly. I had looked at their website a few weeks ago and there was little product description. There are a lot of "me too" products out there as stated in the product description. I also like that 3D is made here in the U.S. I'm trying hard to not buy stuff made in China these days lol. The website looks great they made a lot of upgrades.

I have been using it for well over a year. Been thru a few gallons. I like it a lot. Great drying aid! It works well on waxes, sealants and coatings. Pretty legit as a stand alone LSP. Really helps the durability out on AIO products like Speed Or BF one step. No issues applying or streaking unless in direct sun on a blazing panel.

I agree, I really liked a lot of properties, including shine, ease of use, no streaking, etc….but for me the killer was the dust attraction…it was a lot worse with this as a topper for me at least. Nice product except that was a deal breaker.

I looked for some reviews on some of the FB groups and they seem positive overall, but the hydrophobics appear to be mixed with some saying very good to some saying not at all.

I said it before I'll say it gain...."conditions"...I.E....(paint prep/hard soft clears/sun/rain/sap/mud/bugs/salt) make ALL the difference in (results) for any LSP/toppers......
That is why when you read reviews they are from A to Z as to what people have experienced.
