This past weekend I had the chance to get in some serious detailing time and try out a ton of products from recent orders that I had sitting around. One of them was 3D's Liquid Leather. The prior owner of my Jeep Wrangler did not do the best job of maintaining the leather seats so I thought I would try Liquid Leather and see how it stacked up against some of the other leather conditioners I have in my cabinet.
Product Description
3D Liquid Leather combines everything you love about leather cleaner and conditioners, without some of the most common annoyances. Designed to perfectly clean embedded dirt and grime while finishing with a smooth layer of protection, 3D Liquid Leather does not leave behind a greasy, streaky mess. Enhanced with Mink Oil, 3D Liquid Leather cleans and protects not only your leather wrapped seats and buttons, but will treat vinyl and plastic surfaces the same way! Think of 3D Liquid Leather as an all-in-one interior cleaner & protectant!
Cost: On sale for $7.99 for 16 ounces
3D Liquid Leather
I applied Liquid Leather with a microfiber applicator. The product was dry to the touch after a few mintues.
Thoughts
1) Scent-probably the closest leather conditioner that I have used that has a true leather smell. The other would be Zaino Z10. This is obviously about half the price. The scent is mild and smells like leather. After application the scent lasted a day or two and was not overpowering.
2) Cleaning ability-Liquid leather has some mild cleaners in it so I noticed that the applicator was pulling out some mild dirt that was still on the seats.
3) Look: Not overly greasy and just the look I was looking for. For someone that wants an even more matte look can easily buff with a micro fiber towel.
4) Other applications: The directions state that it can be also be used on vinyl and other plastics. This is plus. For those that one a conditioner without cleaners try HD Protect.
5) Conclusion: I was very happy with the way the product applied and smelled. The cleaning ability would be perfect maintenance details. The price point is outstanding.
