3M Rubbing Compound vs Meguiar's Compound

Is there a big difference between 3M Perfect It Rubbing Compound compared to Meguiar's Rubbing Compound? Which one cuts better? Easier to use, overall better results?
 
Im guessing these are the over the counter products found at your local parts store? If so i havent used them but im assuming you will get better results using less aggressive methods like ultimate compound or polish.
