I'd love to get one, just don't want it to be underpowered.

Max I do not have one but the specs call for 9.5 cfm min. that comppresor will work but you will not get the full potential of the tool....

If it where me Id look bigger in the cfm dept.

I'm with dad07. Short answer: No.
Compressors that size were designed for nailguns and airbrush sprayers. I have one and anything else leaves me waiting for a recharge before I get another short burst out of the tool.

The 4.5 CFM and 90 psi are adequate. I would be a little concerned about the tank size. If you can swing it, I would go for a little larger tank. You can probably make it work but you may have to stop periodically for the pressure to catch up. I know you got to play with the Tornador a little this weekend but believe me, you will find uses for it that you never dreamed of. BTW, I enjoyed working with you this weekend. Keep up the good work.

I'm not sure where the specs come up with the 9.5 CFM but the classic only requires 5 and the Black is supposed to have lower requirements. I think something was lost in the translation.

you may be right.......but thats the rating on AG's site......I was thinking the same when I responded to Max's question......I shall do some more research.

That compressor will produce about half the needed CFM but for only about 20 seconds.

1 US gallon = 0.133680556 cubic foot

AG's specs are way off. Even the most air hungry tools don't need that much!

Got this from another site.

"Tornador Black is also able to work with small or mobile compressors, because the full potential power is available at pressures as low as 4.5 bar - 75 to 90 PSI. "

Thanks for all the responses and it was a pleasure working with you guys as well! The issue for me is that I have a 4x7 trailer and only so much can fit, 8 gallons is the biggest I can get in there.
