Hello if you are using a PC with a 3 inch plate or 4 inch plate I highly suggest using the 4 inch LC Foam Wool pad for the reasons below.

I call this pad evil minion because it's evil to defects and it looks like one

(My daughter loves the movie and it reminds me of there hair lol)

This pad is very useful when going around door handles, edges, emblems and even curved panels were foam really struggles.

As you can see it has a little room around the plate to contour and bend to the shape of the panel making it extremely easy and effective.

Here it is on a curved panel mimicking the exact shape of the panel do its flexibility.

Here is a contour panel at the bottom of a front fender that long throw orbitals or any da will struggle.

However as you can see it immediately adapts to the shape of the panel. Do to its soft flexible material.

That's not it. How many times have you used a 4 inch foam pad and got to close to a emblem and it ripped you pad ?

With this pad it's not going to rip

You can get as close to the emblem as you want in fact you can polish it as well!

As you can see I actually got to polish in between the mercedes "spokes" without damaging the pad

Now you might be saying, we'll that pad is pretty nifty for a PC but how does it POLISH?

That was done with the PC 4' Foam Wool and Griot's Garage Fast Correcting Cream.

So I would say this is a winner and a must have in any Detailers arsenal.

Not only on the PC but any 3 inch machine even if you have a Rupes Mini this pad is able to adapt to the countour edges.

(5 inch and 6 inch pad will do same)

This will turn your 4 inch setup into a beast! And shine were the 4 inch PC usually lacks.

So what are you waiting for order while that sale is up !

Hope you guys enjoyed ! Not that it's a new product or anything I just thought this would help some people!

What size backing plate are you using in those pics?

I believe the title and or opening subject line is what the fore mentioned thread refers too.

(OPENING STATEMENT FROM ORIGINAL POSTER) Hello if you are using a PC with a 3 inch plate or 4 inch plate I highly suggest using the 4 inch LC Foam Wool pad for the reasons below.

Hope this helps I'll guess it's a 3 or 4 inch backing plate, I hope to post photos later from my phone.

I also love this pad and can attest to all the applications you mentioned. I like its "flappy" edges too and insuring you have product on the perimeter of the pad it works exceptionally well to work into tighter areas.

Yea I know he's using either a 3" or 4" backing plate... Reason I'm asking is because that backing plate looks nothing like my 3" LC backing plate.

... And since it looks nothing like my backing plate, there's a chance it's a 4" backing plate. It could also mean it's not a LC backing plate like mine. But that's not really the point. I'm mainly curious because of the space between the backing plate and the edge of the pad, especially if that turns out to be a 4" backing plate he's using.

And since his backing plate looks nothing like mine, I have no idea whether it's 3" or 4"... But if he is using a 4" BP, that pad might be too big for my 3" BP, based on the space between the edge of his 4" BP and the edge of the pad.

Now that I've explained myself... Lol.
