My guess is "no". The Rupes 21 and 15 were awesome at making Lake Country pads disintegrate, hence the LC HD pads. The Rupes Mini has 12mm of stroke and is not quit as bad...so long as you keep speeds below 5. But who knows, maybe LC will slap me in the face and tell me my guess is wrong.
