5.5 or 6.5 CCW

I would go with the 5.5" if you are doing correction work. But nothing at all wrong with the 6.5", some find you can generate more heat with the smaller pad, thats all. Bonus with the 6.5" is it gives you more room to work with between the edge of the backing plate and the pad. So more room for error with the 6.5"
 
I like the 4" pads for paint correction (so far I've only used them on light swirls) and getting into smaller areas. That being said I still like to use the bigger pads (6.5) for regular lite polishing, glazes and waxing since it covers a larger area.

I got the 5.5 pads for my first time with the pc and they worked great. I used them with the 5in backing plate and i didnt have a single problem with the backing place getting near the paint. This was on a 99 firebird so i had plenty of curves also. I will be getting the 4 for smaller places and i also need the extra help for correction in some places.
