Here we have a beautiful little BMW.
My customer fixes these up and sells them.
He had a bad Body Shop experience (I've never really heard of anyone having a good experience with a BS) with this repaint so he called on me to fix it up.

It had Orange Peel everywhere and waves along the body lines on the doors.

I had a little problem pulling out the 1500 grit sanding marks but with a little help from Stoops we figured it out.

I started with sanding with Meg's 1500 Unigrit 6" sanding disks on my G100
Then used Meg's Unigrit 2000 grit Sanding Block
and then Meg's Unigrit 3000 on my DA with the foam interface.

M105 on a MF cutting pad polished it up nicely and finished with D301 on a MF Finish pad.

The job took 16 man hrs in 90 degree heat.

After a short sanding I knew this was going to take some time to correct it properly

You have to have this sanding pad if you want to do it right.

The sanding pad helps get around the curves of this little cutie!

I love these little sanding blocks! They make the paint flat, very flat! Chip Foose uses these to sand a whole car!

And the end results. The sun was setting and it being a white car the pics don't doe it justice.

Thanks to M. Stoop for his help. I always know I can count on him and Meguiar's to help me make others happy with there cars.

Stellar work Mario! Lots of sweat went into making that smooth finish. Thanks for sharing!

Nice work man!

Who every shot the BC/CC needs a refresher on gun air and fluid adjustments

OMG that peel was horrible! I haven't seen a 2002 out here on the rust coast for about 30 years.

One word...

Incredible

:dblthumb2:
I learned how to wet sand this from you about 5 years ago.
Your a great teacher Mike and my hero.
Thanks to you I can do this kind of work.
Thank you!!!!!!:dblthumb2:

Top job on that BM ! Must have took days to do this job !
2 day about 18 hrs with breaks. 16 actully work hrs. It still needed another 8 hrs but this is what my customer paid for and he loved it.

That is probably one of nicest write ups, transformations that I have seen for the past few years. The work, the car, the simplicity but also the skill that went into this is just amazing.

It put a big smile on my face.

Beautiful work .....

Well you in turn put a big smile on my face with that compliment!!!!!:props:
I'm so glad you enjoyed me write up. A few weeks ago a friend at Meguiar's told me to do a better job at writing up stuff. So I guess I'm on the right track.

Awesome Work!! Where can I get those sanding blocks you mentioned

I believe you can get them here or any Detail Supply House. I've never had a problem finding them.
