I detailed my friend's 71 Chevelle convertible on Saturday. The paint was a little dull but was in decent shape. The bodywork under the paint was not so great. Lots of sanding marks. Since he bought the car as is, he didn't know if it was single stage or base/clear. A test spot confirmed it was base/clear.

I started the test spot with 205 and an orange LC 5.5" flat pad on my 3401. It was doing a decent job but I wasn't getting what I was looking for so I moved up to M101. This stuff is outstanding! After just a few section passes, the swirls were gone and the shine was back. Man, does this stuff finish out great. It looked so good that I went right to DP Max Wax as my LSP. I was amazed how much depth and shine came back.

I did not get any before pics but here are the afters.
