On a day that we as a nation morn yet another year has passed since tragedy stuck our nation and changed our lives forever. My we remember those who lost their lives, gave their lives to save the lives of the innocent, and all those who fought for our country to protect our freedom.

Wow... its been 13 years already...

I remember where I was exactly! I was loading up my work van like any other day, it was beautiful out and I had the sports station on and the guy on the radio told the caller "did you hear what I just said, a plane just hit the World Trade Center". My first reaction, said it out loud, "how in the hell did a little plane hit that big building!" I know it sounds weird but it was first reaction as they didn't say anything about what kind of plane it was at that moment.

I then headed out on my route and the 2nd plane hit, we were under attack and I wasn't sure what to do! Do I go home and get our kids out of school or what! I continued along and stopped at one of my stops and the guy said 'they've got tanks rolling through Dearborn!" I didn't believe that but I did have a stop there and saw nothing unusual. It wasn't until noon when I made a stop and saw a group of people standing around a little black and white TV when I actually saw it for the first time and I was stunned! A guy turned to me and said "is this your first time seeing it?", I said "yes!" and he said "it looks like a movie, doesn't?" I hated to admit it but it did, it really did and I knew right then and there our world would never ever be the same!

It was a long day and I couldn't wait to get home and be with my family. Talking with some neighbors in the middle of the street that evening we heard and then noticed a large, dark green plane with 4 engines on both sides flying NW, our guys were going somewhere, we knew it was on!

In closing thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost their lives that day as well as those who lost a loved one that day, God Bless America!

A day none of us will ever forget, it definitely changed our nation forever.

Prayers to those families still in pain and to our brothers and sisters still fighting to keep us safe.

I'd like to thank fellow AG'er Derek0609 for fighting for our country over there for a year of his life, thanks D!

Being on the west coast, it was one of the most surreal things to wake up to and try to function normally. I was still in college and my professors all cancelled classes knowing it was too big an event to function normally. It has changed the direction of this country for the foreseeable future.

May those lost that day rest in peace and may we as a nation realize and appreciate that freedom isn't always free - and bless those in uniform who try to keep us safe fighting for this nation.

God bless America. May we never forget!

God Bless America!

Thank you to all who serve and my fellow veterans.

... I was in middle school when it happened. Eating lunch in the cafeteria, I remember it so clearly. They called students over the intercom whom their parents worked at The Pentagon. (went to school in Northern VA). crazy.
