This vehicle belongs to a good friend of mine and after seeing the work I’ve been doing he finally told me to detail his vehicle. The timing was perfect, my friend was going on holidays for three weeks and he gave me the keys and left me his baby in my hands. He wanted good products to be used on his vehicle and he got it.

911 Porsche Carrera

Interior Process:

Vinyl and rubber:
I used Meguiars #40, but prior to it I gave the entire vehicle a nice wipe down with Meg’s APC mixed with water 1:1.

Carpet:
Meguiars APC used it on the carpet. I scrubbed with a brush then extracted it with my shop-vac.

Leather:
Wolfgang leather care cleaner and conditioner

Exterior Process

Engine bay:
Used P21S Total Auto Wash full strength and dressed with Stoners Trim Shine.

Wash:
I used Zymol Clear Auto Bathe with two bucket method and the white ShMITT.

Clay:
The vehicle was in rough shape so I used Red Clay Magic, the vehicle required something with a good bite and this was the clay for it.

Polish

Wet sand – 2500grit sand paper
Menzerna Power Gloss Compound – Metabo – Meguiars Cutting Wool pad – 1500rpm
Menzerna 106FF – Metabo – Menzerna White Pad – 1500rpm
Menzerna Final Polish II – Metabo – Menzerna Orange Pad – 1500rpm

Prepping for wax:
Zymol HD cleanse applied by hand and removed by hand

Wax:
1 – Coat of Zymol Glasur Glaze Wax applied by hand and removed by hand

Rims/wheel wells/Tires:

For the rims I used P21S gel formula agitated with my Swissol wheel brush. After rims where cleaned I finished them off with Zymol HD cleanse and toped off with 1 – Coat of Zymol Glasur Glaze Wax
For the wheel wells I used P21S Total Auto Wash full strength
Tires and wheel wells were finished off with Stoner Trim Shine

Exterior plastic peaces/trim:
I used Mothers Back to Black.

Glass:
Stoners with glass Cobra MF then used Zymol HD cleanse and topped off with 1 – coat of Zymol Glasur Glaze Wax

Observations/comments:

The Swissol wheel brush is a really handy brush to do the rims with. Makes it easy to get in between the spokes and other areas. Best part is it wasn’t loosing hairs (not falling apart). In addition, the Swissol brush is really handy for the interior vents. Overall the Swissol wheel brush is a worthy tool to recommend, I recommend it. I purchased the Zymol Glausur Glaze Wax just for this vehicle plus other vehicles that are coming and it’s quite the product.

Well there she is, I have to admit I'm very pleased with the results and the new products worked incredable. As you can see by the amount of pictures I had lots of fun with detail...no I should refrase that I had a blast detailing this vehicle. I had to drive it back to my friends house and I had a bunch of people turning there heads to look at the vehicle and others giving me a thumbs up as I drove by them hahahaha.

Well any comments feed back is always welcome, hope you enjoy.

Oh! Thats all I can say :D She looks fantastic, I love the warm gloss and the nice reflections! Hard to get on a silver, but you did it! Great work as always buddy ;)

Some Questions If you don`t mind ;) How do you like the
P21S Total Auto Wash? How do you like Zymol products? It had been fun to try something new soon..

Again, LOVE IT :awesome:

Great turnaround.. Your friend really needs a beater and a garage.

You always have kicka$$ details but this one is your best ever! That car is so slick looking, it looks like mercury on wheels. Very nice. That took a lot to make it come out like that. Love the write-up and all the pics.

Carlos, man oh man you kick butt on her. I can't believe someone would let a Porche get that bad. You turn it around, she looks phenomenal now. :applause: You do great work my friend. If you don't mine me asking. On the sanding, you said 2500, was it wet or did you use a sander. How long did the paper last per body part? On the rims you used P21S gel, how well do you like that product? Sorry for all the question....

Great work as usual from you. The more I read your posts and see your work the more I want to try a rotary but I'm still a little scared....but you da' man!

Awesome detail, Carlos! From far, the car looked fine, but on your close-ups......Yuck! You really cleaned her up and she's glossy and wet! Interior was nasty as well, but you made it spotless. Great detail on the engine as well. Nice before/after pics, back to back. Really shows the difference. Great work!!
One question......did you cover anything in the engine? Especially the alternator? As you can tell from the question, I haven't done an engine detail yet. I have this fear, that the durn car won't start after I'm done. LOL

Very nice job, it looks like a different car. The engine compartment is very impressive. I can't believe someone would spend that kind of money on a car and treat it so badly.

Very nice job! I bet your friend was more than pleased!

Over-the-top professional job Carlos. Now I'll bet you're teaching him how to take care of it. Now that it's that beautiful he'll probably want to take better care of it.

NICA!!! Your garage looks like a 100% professional detailing shop, absolutely amazing! So you had the Porsche for 3 weeks straight? Did you take it for a few spins, or did the owner check how many miles it had one it before he left, HAH!

Great work though, it's tough to make silver look that good. Lovely work on the wheels too, they aren't exactly easy to keep clean!

NICA, I don't know where to start with the accolades. You did an amazing job on that 911. The before and after pictures really show off the excellent work you did.

Please tell me you drove that hot car around a bit.

fanatastic work Nica..was this your first time wetsanding?? your work has been top notch bro

Daniel - Thank you, I'm getting the hang off taking pictures and it's coming out quite nicely.

pirex - Thank you bro, oh she was glowing. I have to admit even I was stunned at the results, the paint looked like liquid wow. Now P21S Total Auto Wash, is wicked. The reason why I like it so much is becuase it's a strong product but it won't damage anything, it worked great in the engine compartment and anywhere really. Not cheap but well worth it, I'll only be using P21S products on my own vehicle or vehicles like this. As for Zymol, I like Zymol products too. Specially there engine was Strike, that's good stuff. I have a quite a bit of that but the Strike I wanted to keep for my vehicles but if I run out of P21S, I'll resort to Strike to hold me till I get more P21S. Zymol products and P21S are good products pirex, I recomend them.

klumzypinoy - I'm glad you enjoyed it buddy, I started thinking that perhaps I had to many pictures but even I find my self going back and reviewing the pictures and I'm pleased with all the pictures :D. Thank you for the kind words. They mean alot to me.

Dantheman - Thank you for the compliment, well my friend is a business man and he has no time to clean his vehicles. He has owns lots of vehicles and he keeps all his good vehicles in side the garage but like I said he just dosen't have time to stop and clean his vehicles...so that's where I come in ;). He's a good person but just always busy and I always bug him about his vehicles, actually as I droped the Porche and picked up his other vehicle that I had to detail ;). He's a good friend :D

Al417 - Thank you sis (can't call you bro :D). I'm very pleased with the results and surprising it didn't take me that long. I just took my time and worked at it a few hours here afew hours there...if you ask me time went to fast becuase I finished to early...I kinda liked have a porche in my garage ;). Thank you for the compliment, it means alot to me. Glad you enjoyed the pics and the write up.

sparkie - My main man, my compadre, my home boy..how you been buddy? Hope all is well, haven't seen you around to much hope all is well. Thank you for the compliments spark dude, really appreciated. Oh on the sanding, yes it was done by hand and yes it was wet sanding, sorry I missed that part. I used a brand new piece of paper this time, so with the new paper I did the entire vheicle...kept diping it in water to clean it though. P21S gel is good but with the wheel brush it makes it much faster and easy to clean the wheels. The reason I like it is becuase it's strong but gentle just like P21S Total Auto Wash. The other reason I really like it is becuase I could use other chemicals but to be honest I don't want to stand in my garage guessing at rims if they are clear coated or not and what to use. I know that P21S is safe and that's that, I know I'm safe and no fear of me ruening the rims. It's not a cheap product but well worthe the price if you ask me. No worries about the questions bro, keep them coming.
