A detailing bench now with wheels..

I had built a bench that sits out 24x7 (could you tell?) and had been using it when detailing to rinse out mitts, brushes, etc. after washing along with keeping other stuff while washing. I started putting my wash buckets on them rather tha my wagon. This bench a little unmanageable so ended up adding some casters so I can move it around. The buckets are now even higher so minimal bending. The casters allow me to easily move it around and will stay outside since no space in the garage.

Now, I just need to get the mildew off it.

Ever thought about using outdoor paint or even that easy cleaning patio paint to make it easier to clean?

Yes but I still have not mastered getting paint to stick to pressure treated wood very long even when using primer. I had thought about using some plastic like they use on rail stiles.

Wow way cool!! Additionally, you can use that bench to put your compound/polish next to your DA while you sit (save your back big time) when you are correcting the side of the vehicle.

I used it today this morning and worked great.

I washed the mitts on the bench and then cleaned out the buckets. Now, rolled it back in place to let the buckets dry.

The grit guards stay in place with these buckets.

Just hit it hard with a pressure washer to remove the mildew and then coat with some Thompson's water seal after it dries out a bit.

You're right though, nothing's gonna stick to pressure treated lumber long.

Maybe try plasti-dip spraying the legs and see how it holds up.

The only other option I can think of is way too cost prohibitive for a wood bench/table.

This idea started from wood from a deck that was torn down but will be thinking of the next design.

Another idea is to sit halogens on them when I am polishing since my halogens separate from the stand.
