I have come to the conclusion there is no perfect hose. What are you using and what do you recommend? Flexzilla? Zero G? It's not rocket science, but even the reviews can be misleading. Some of the top brands get bad reviews.

Obsessed garage. Just get 2 50’ hoses, or email Kyle to see if you can get 100’

The GG “Professional Water Hose” is awesome. They only sell on the GG site but I will say it’s hands down the best and nicest hose I’ve ever owned. FWIW, I also take it with me on mobile jobs and it has held up incredibly well.

Is that hose heavy?

I agree with previous reply, the Obsessed Garage hose is perfection.

I wouldn’t say it’s heavy, but I feel it has “heft” if that makes sense. Feels like it should for how much it costs. It also is very abrasion resistant and doesn’t retain coil memory and damn near never kinks.

For garden hose I like my Craftsman all rubber hose. Mine is 50ft and really heavy. I’d not consider a 100ft version due to weight. I think OG sells a nice Goodyear all rubber too and I’d think it’s also going to be heavy.

For the power washer I do use OG’d Kobrajet and it is pretty nice.

I upgraded to a 50’ Flexzilla hose 2yrs. ago and it’s been the best hose I’ve ever had.

It lives up to its claims of never kinking.

Compared to regular hoses Flexzilla is extremely lightweight and easy to handle. I can easily pick it up and put into a truck if I need to take it somewhere mobile. Trying to do that with ordinary hoses is a complete PITA. Other hoses are much heavier and stiff whereas Flexzilla is super easy to coil.

I can easily toss my 50’ Flexzilla into a kitchen trash bag if I need to.. Try that with an ordinary 50’ hose.

I have quick connects set up at every end including at the spigot, so connecting the backyard hose to the front yard hose is fast and easy if I feel like cleaning a vehicle parked on the street without moving it. [or just a quick wheel cleaning]

Quick connects on my nozzles, I even have a quick connect set up for perfect sheeting rinse action.

Brass shut off valve at my fingertips so I can control the water flow or shut it off in order to switch nozzles.

For my needs I can’t think of a hose I’d pick over this 1. Highly recommend.

I've had the 50' Flexzilla SwivelGrip for what seems like a few years now. It's been a great hose, and I'll echo much of what Eldorado has said. Nice and lightweight, very flexible and easy to maneuver around the car, never had it kink on me with the water on, easy to reel back up. The reports on it building up a level of grime over time is correct. I have mine stored outside in the hose reel that remains covered, but it has built up a bit of a nasty finish over this time that I haven't felt the desire to try and clean off yet. Has not altered its performance for me, zero leaks and decent flow, grab a set of brass quick disconnects and you're good to go.

I will third what Eldo said. I love my 50' Flexzilla. WHY THE HECK DO YOU NEED 100' ? Geesh that is a long run and a bunch of hose to roll back up.

Depends on your needs. For me, as a mobile detailers, I wanted something light that did not take much room.

I have been using collapsible 100' hoses for 2 years now. The first one lasted me a season, so about 7 months. I broke it by mistake.
They are fragile but I think the weight (Less than a pound) and the space saving (collapse to something that can be stored in a small grocery bag) makes up for it.

I hate hoses cause the always kink

But I use the Craftsman black lifetime guarantee- they have replaced one in the past for me but these things last for YEARS

Craftsman 100' all rubber (black) hose... never kinks and fits perfectly on my Ely hose cart. Takes little to no effort to reel in when wrapping up. :xyxthumbs:

The Craftsman rubber hoses are very good, but the Gilmour Flexogen Pro is even better. Higher burst strength and uses steel couplings (vs. brass). Like Craftsman, carries a lifetime warranty.

Flexogen Pro Hose | Gilmour

Neither of these hoses are for someone who is looking for something "light" though ...

It very well might be better but for what that 50' Gilmore cost I got my 100' craftsman. I'm sure they're both great and i 100% agree with you about the weight i have to drag every inch of the 100 to my driveway whenever i wash the cars

Around here they are the same price, $30 for 50', $60 for 100'.
