Got asked by workmate Andrea, whose white 1 series i polished a couple of weeks ago,if i could do the same to her ma in laws ,red lexus
well never one to turn ladies in distress down,i agreed
So day 1 was spent fully cleaning the exterior,as well as cleaning the insides
Day two was spent with my friends at Motorgeek, many thanks for the facillities again chaps
I deceided to use the full range of Reflectology products on this detail
the lady who owns the car, looks after it herself, and has done a decent enough job,but i wanted to use something, that would last and make it easier to keep clean with minimal maintainence
So the car was fully snowfoamed and cleaned with R1ne,and decon wash
R1,is avery very good product, you alter the dilution for it to perform different tasks,in a snowfoam bottle i added approx 50 ml,thats all,i used it to shampoo the car, afterwards again only minimal ammount needed
after a snaofoam and wash,i then used Decon wash, this will remove traces of all previous coatings ,waxings etc,its gel like so ,apply with a foam applicator ,leave for a while then jetwash off
the wheels,to be honest want a refurb, but i cleaned them anyway, again with R1 to start with ,then i applied R6!X which is fantastic, removes iron and othe crap so easilly ,all in one bottle
i also applied to the bodywork ,after rinsing again,i attacked the numerous pieces of tar, with Tardis, then another snowfaom and wash followed by a clay, then another wash ,this left a very clean car with no protection
Day two,saw me polishing the car,i first off used a sample of Reflectolgys finishing polish, whilst this is still under development,i trialled it,to be fair,it might need some more cut adding, but its brilliant at adding gloss, but it is a finishing polish,i could get an almost defect free surface ,but it took a lot of time, and seeing as this was just an enhancement, dceided to go down the Wolfgang swirl remover route
this didnt get every mark out,but killed 90%+ of the swilrs
polisheing was done on a Lake country polishing pad via the flex vrg
after polishing the car was wiped down with eraser
then the bling factor was added
this was in the form of coat 1 of Defiance spray sealant, coat 2 of R5VE Lockdown sealant, then after an hour or son a final layer of Defiance
and here is the result of a couple of days solid work, love the the levels of gloss added,The mother in law ,was very happy and so was I at the finished car
onto the pics
in order......ish
any questions etc fire away

END OF DAY 1 ,FULLY DECONTAMINATED

NICE HEALTHY AND VERY EVEN PAINT LEVELS,BETWEEN 3 AND 5 MICRONS REMOVED ON AVERAGE

TODAYS PRODUCTS
