accounting software

I am using quickbooks online - I think like $55 a month for a big package - you get help, all data is backed up, etc.
 
I use to be a Sales/Use tax auditor for the State of Maryland and it seamed most small businesses used Quickbooks followed by Peachtree. But Quickbooks was by far the most popular.

+1..... even an older version of Quickbooks Pro will do..... when you are starting out you definitely don't need most of the whiz-bang features of the recent software versions. If you cannot manage a small business wusing basic accounting methods with the cheaper, 5-6 year old product then it is likely you will have problems with the newer versions.
