Hello .. so I just bought a Mytee Lite III today from Autogeek and I am trying to get as much information as possible about what I need to use with it.

I plan on using Folex .. maybe some APC. I would spray either on the carpet scrub and then extract with water. However I have seen stuff before such as an acid rinse or an acid neutralizer before and not sure when to use them or if they are needed.
I am also looking into other better carpet cleaners besides the two I listed .. what they are I dont know.

From what I have read the Folex has a PH of about 8.7 and the APC has a PH of like 12.5.

I have seen online stuff about Folex turning carpets a yellowish color and they think its due to the PH level in Folex and it being left on there and not being rinsed out. Or maybe it was interacting with chemicals in the carpet like dye or some backing adhesive I think it was BHT, or something.

Well obviously I dont want to discolor carpets and I am sure that there is some rule about PH and when a Acid Rinse or Neutralizer is needed in the extractor. I just cant seem to find that anywhere online.

Being that the two products I listed are more of an alkaline PH would an Acid Rinse or Neutralizer be needed? Because that sounds like I would need to rinse out ACID that would be lower on the PH scale and not in the alkaline range... I dont know how it works clearly .. which is why I am here :)

any specific chemical recommendations?

Any help on this and especially specific chemical suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!
