Acrylic lacquer Question

Okay my reputataion is on the line with this one. I have a balck Vette that I use SIP & Nano polish on. Great stuff! Anyway I have a freind with a 65 Black Mustang I want to use SIP with a white pad and Nano with a black pad. I use a ROB buffer on the Vette and plan to do the same on the Mustang. He has no major swirls or any real problems with the paint. Will this work or should we go in another direction before waxing & sealing? Thanks in advance.
