Has anyone tried adding a bit of APC to a pH neutral shampoo for a prewash? I am using BH TL which I feel is still the best on the market, but I thought about trying an APC + shampoo as a pre-wash to see if I could get similar cleaning. I don't have an APC on hand at the moment to test. Curious if anyone has tried this and what the results were.

Reset + Multi X for example.

I've done it back in the days....heck, back in the days, my favorite heavy alkaline pre-wash was 1Z W99 as a prewash combo

Did it work? Miranda and others think you can get the same cleaning ability with an APC prewash mix.

Yes, it does. But if you have touchless (which is almost apparently the standard) , the APC mix is more caustic on the LSP.....
I have loads of APC and I find myself -using it up- for wheel wells primarily and or the mild dirty wheel.

I'm going to try Auto Foam in the warmer months.....in my readings, Touch Less supposedly works better on salts than AF
But honestly, once the salt: snow is gone.....I don't really have a needn: nuse case for pre-wash needs......panels are pretty clean.
I do have a whole 4.75 liters of Auto Foam on hand tho to use up

You gave me a throw back moment as such. Back in the days, when -specific use- products was not the norm, I had four spray bottles for APC. 4:1, 20:1, 10:1 as the main rotations....

I still have the 4:1 spray as a bottle to use, but it's mainly meant for -BS misc- applications and I've fallen into the product specific genre of product use

That is where my thoughts went when I read the thread title. Mixing up a wheel and tire cleaner. Doesn't matter if it strips off any lsp I have on the wheels as I reapply my products to wheels and tires at 90% of my washes anyway.
