Oftentimes as detailers we see what many people can't. We look at a car that may look flawless to someone else but our eye catches every little defect. This client is a very successful surgeon and definitely has "the eye" for detailing as well as for cars. This is the first of several from his collection. He noticed some swirls appearing while looking at his car in the sun, and while it still looked great to him he wanted it to reach that next level.
Main concerns:
-Paint overspray removal
-Swirl & defect removal
-Paint protection/coating
Car was dropped off for a full two day correction, over 25 hours went into this vehicle. Two very long days...

Decontamination process:

Once the previous coat of wax had been removed the true finish came through. As you can see there are plenty of defects to be found.

Paint overspray required a very heavy clay bar to remove.

Once I nailed the combination I started polishing. Here are some 50/50 shots and before and afters of the results.

Into polishing I like to pull the car out into the sun to see how its coming along.

Here you can see the tape line on the left side from the 50/50 shots and the farthest side fully corrected. Notice the difference in clarity and shine.
Hood reflection coming through.

C Pillar corrected

Rear passenger door

Defects refract light instead of reflect it. Thus why scratched and swirled paint looks so hazy and dull.
Polished paint looks much different..

After polishing before sealant
