Advice for prepping paint for vinyl stripes

I would like to confirm steps for prepping my paint before applying vinyl stripes to my 7 month old MINI. Color is a dark metallic blue and I have a clear bra on the front bumper and nose of the bonnet.

wash (add dawn to soap)
clay
polish (wgfg)
wipe down with CarPro eraser (is this safe on the clear bra?)
apply stripes
apply wax (prima epic)

I also have a sample of pinnacle paintwork cleanser lotion. Would that fit in the process somewhere.

I'll answer my own post.

I followed my outlined steps and it worked out fine.
1) wash
2) clay
3) polish
4) eraser
5) stripes
6) wax

As it turns out, not a big deal.
