Whats to high for you (milage)?

I have yet to test drive any, but want to see how others go about it.

I know guys that have had vans for 150k+ miles with little to no trouble. but others with 80K and transmission is going out. I know its all how the previous owner took care of it, what field he worked, etc.. just want to read your guys opinions

Honestly you basically answered your own question. In general the lower the better, but if it was abused with lack of maintenance and hot rodded it'll have more problems potentially. Yet you could get a high mileage vehicle that'll run awesome for years because the previous owner babied it every mile and took the proper maintenance steps.

So a thorough inspection is definitely needed. Go over that vehicle intensely. Have a checklist as you don't want to miss anything. Do several test drives. If you're not knowledgeable about mechanics either invite a friend to come inspect the vehicle with you, or actually pay a mechanic at a local shop to do a diagnostic inspection of the vehicle. Speaking generally I would say my max mileage would be 150,000 depending on the price.

A mobil van? appose to a stationary van? lol, jk.

Well all cars break, period. You'll have to put money into your van no matter what.
As in you'll buy a new van for $45,000 and not have to repair anything.
Or if your like me I bought a $2,000 van and I'm going to end up putting around $3,000 into it.
To me, $5k sound better then $45,000 in a new van with interest charges included
I will never ever, ever buy a new car.
You have to look at your entire purchase price and not just the sticker price.
I own my van and it will never be repoed because I didn't make a payment.

My Ford has a bullet proof straight 6 that everyone I've talk to loves it.
If it ever goes out I'll just replace it for a few thousand bucks.
