Advice On My Favourite Method For Cleaning Glass Please

Today, after watching the window cleaner I decided to use a microfibre wash mit. A squeegee and a microfibre towel for buffing.
I used normal wash and wax shampoo to clean the window before dragging off with the squeegee (rubber) then buffing excess of with microfibre. This truly left a streak free finish sorry for lack of pics. I'm just wondering if this is a "safe" method or can i ruin my glass etc.

I perform the same steps when cleaning my glass. I do not see a problem as long as you are clearing the dirt before using the squeegee.
