I just wanted to take some time out to thank Autogeek and Griots for putting together a contest to win an autographed pair of Piloti Tamburello driving shoes signed by Richard Griot. I was the amazingly lucky winner of this contest.

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...giveaway-personally-signed-richard-griot.html

Now you would think this would be just an easy hey whats your shoe size...cool its on its way type thing. Well short story long, the shoes didn't come in my size and I was a bit disappointed. Dwayne at AG was sending me emails back and forth, going way above what the average customer service person would've done trying to "make it right" Well after several emails Dwayne was able to talk Griots into allowing me to get a "Signed" Griots wash bucket & a Griots detailing bag. Not only did Griots send me these items they sent a personal letter thanking me for being a customer, being the lucky winner of this contest, and gave me a few more tips on what all their glass polishing system does. Being a business owner myself, I just wanted to personally thank AG, Dwayne, Richard Griot and Rob Wood @ Griots, all of which have gone way above what you would see in 95% of any type of businesses customer service! Seeing this level of CS is rare and is the reason why my business buys products from AG and will continue to do so! And the letter that Rob sent me from Griots was way above my expectations and goes lenghts to show their level of commitment to ensuring their customers are pleased! Heres a few pics, I put random items in the bag to show what kind of space the compartments can hold :)

Very cool John! A nice addition to a ever growing collection of goodies! Myself I'd put them on the mantel but I'm sure Mrs07 would buck that issue!!!! Enjoy and Congrats!

Yea, I thought about putting them as a show piece in my shop once its all together, but I figured it wouldn't do such a great product justice so I'll be putting them to use everyday instead :)

:iagree: Really cool to still find companies that actually care about their customers.

That is a really cool prize and I can't believe all the great stuff you got.....:props:

Congratulations John but I'm so envious!!

Two first class companies with awesome customer service.

Winning a contest for a free item is sweet, but this kind of VIP treatment is unheard of.

Congratulations and enjoy,

Congratulations John, that must be a thrill ! :props:

The Griots Wash Bucket looks interesting.
Quick question for ya. Is the Griots wash bucket like Grit Guard type set-up,with the black mesh screen?

Chris

Congrats!! The kit looks like you will be having lots of fun when it starts getting warmer. And that wash bucket looks like it does the same job as the Grit Guard.

Doggie Toy in the background for the win! Awesome gifts!!

Yeppers has a built in grit gaurd along with marks for gallons/litres, and a built in measuring cup :) The top grit gaurd you see is just something you can sit stuff on, like a wash mitt, its really top notch :)

Wow I really love that bucket!!!

I agree with you, Dwayne is amazing at handling customer service, he really cares! It's the best way to build customer loyalty.

Mr. Parker you said it right...Dwayne is a Class Act..has always come thru for me..and is a true asset to AG. Congrats on your prize(s) and I am a little dissapointed...........you got your NEW Griots D/A DIRTY!!!!
Maybe you can put it in the wash bucket????????

Haha Roger, it's dirty cause I use it :p And your right Dwayne is a great asset to AG, but if you noticed alot of their staff is top notch. Although I've never talked to or met Max I'm guessing he's a great leader, as with any business you will have those that stand out but for the whole staff to be to as good as they are really says something about their leadership. If we can take just a little bit of what I'm sure AG's vision is and apply that to our own lives we will succeed in our mission. I try to run my business with the customer being number one, buts that's not to say you can't teach an old dog new tricks and I think I learn something new each time I deal with AG's customer service. They really go above the call of duty and I only wish I could make it to detailfest to personally thank and learn from each and every one of them!

Congrats! We are very happy to have a great partnership with Griots Garage! Rob Wood have been absolutely great to deal with along with all of the Griots staff! Looks like they really hooked you up with that prize!

That top grit guard is designed for use with their boars hair brush. after you rinse it in the water, you lightly brush it over that top guard to knock off any grit you may have picked up with the brush.

It also works well to hold sponges, brushes, etc.

Customer service above and beyond seems to be the norm at AG and Griots. :props:

I've only dealt with a couple of the folks at AG and they both represented what Customer Service should be. Based on what others have said on this Forum and others it sounds like everyone at AG is CUSTOMER service orientated.

I have a few friends that use Griots items exclusively and they continually talk about the excellent Griots customer service as well.
