Dear AGO Friends,

I had a recent experience at AGO that really worth being shared.

:Picture: No!, don't need.

We always read and write about how Members (and Staff) cooperates within each other here, 'virtually, personally', you name it.

Since from joining, positive attitudes from many members were determinant in my detailing connoisseurship, but I've also learned so much about human relationship.

Truly, I'm not adapted.

In a world I'm living I can't trust 'the guy next door',

This forum is an Oasis.

------
To the (actual) fact

I've opened my PM box last night and got a message within a Gift Certificate from a Member here, telling 'Santa' left it there...

Well, I must say I still believe in Santa!, don't you?

I'm very grateful to everyone in here, I really appreciated the $$ Gift, but the monetary value of it can be insignificant if compared to the kindness of intention for sending it to me. Wow, what a surprise!

It'll be put in my 'PE-14' saving Box!, :buffing:

My english vocabulary maybe restrict to find all great and thankful words I'm willing to say, but feel blessed.

Thank you, everyone.

You Rock! Please, always count on me.

Kind Regards, from Brazil.

Tato (Rafael).

Nice to hear! I've always believed in "you get what you give". In the short time I've been here, (Mostly reading and lurking), I've noticed you are always one of the first to step up with a kind word or helpful advice so it really doesn't surprise me that someone would do something nice for you. Congrats.

Pat

Thank you very much for kind words Pat, I believe in short time I've learned to walk the walk here, respect is a mutual relationship which is 'achieved', never imposed.

I've achieved much respect (and appreciation) for everyone here.

Worth saying,

Shortly after writing the above message, I've received another PM containing another gift certificate, from another very special member from this forum which I had the pleasure to meet (virtually) not long ago in here.

I'd like to quote some of his words,

"Santa does exist, and I think there is not only one, but more than one
Think about how can one could handle all the peoples in while world "

What a day!, I'm very thankful for those attitudes, wow, I'm stunned!

Thank you so very much.

Kind Regards.

Another great story about AGO members.

Thank you for sharing...does the heart (and mind) good to hear.

Incredible, ain't it? Glad I could share the essence of the events so you could enjoy along with me.

Wow thats awesome Rafael! Glad to hear!

Hey Mike!, told you I'm speechless, Awesome seems 'weak word' to describe this community 'spirit'.

Thank you very much in advance!

Kind Regards.

Tato! I am in total agreement with you regarding this site. All the AGO members here are great at giving pointers or suggestions whether we agree/disagree or use them or not.

The biggest thing I have learned from this site that regardless what opinions are written...it is meant to be in a positive way....to get better at what we do in detailing.

There are a few AGO members that I consider are "closer" to me than other AGO members. The fact that we can have "virtual" friends is a good thing!

When I have a crappy day I go to this site to forget about the problems and can clear my mind with stories, advice, or techniques about detailing...something that I love to do.

It is SO COOL I finally get to know something...Tato = Raphael!!

CJ = Clarence and another long name to get the J. Where I work at, none of the women that work with me can pronounce Clarence. Henceforth CJ.

Peace be with you my friend and so happy to hear that you believe in Santa...I do!!

Take care

Dear Clarence,

Rafael is my name, 'Raphael' is a nickname given to me by Mike Phillips which I always smile when reading. I won't bother correcting him to spell proper, again, intentions are bigger.

In fact, I can't state even my mom remembers my name is Rafael, everyone calls me 'Tato' anyway.

Tato in Portuguese means 'Touch', which reminds my career profession that is physical therapist. I now rehabilitate cars, just switched the subject!

Well, in your description I could observe we are here looking for the same, this can explain why some feel closer, even being so distant.

I was hesitant to write up this thread but I don't know why would happiness exist in something if not to share with the ones we care. Clap along:props:

It's a pleasure being part of such community.

But all goodness generates some trouble,

I was done for 2014 orders but now I'm being almost obligated to get something at new year sale. I dream of a PE-14, but I'm very close to PE8 Kompakt value. Good trouble, at least.

I'll open another thread asking opinions hahaha, :buffing:

Thank you, by heart.

Kind Regards.

Awesome Rafael! I believe in Santa as well, I've met some really great and genuine people here on AGO, too bad we're all not closer - at least we can share our obsession virtually!

Reasons like these are why I look forward to reading new posts here each and every day.
