AHSW Home warranty

Thought about these 10yrs ago when buying but like car warranties, my takeaway was instead to put the monthly payment into savings and wait to need it.

The only "warranty" that has ever worked for me was pet insurance. They've bought a lot of surgeries over the years.

From Gemini: However, crowdsourced review platforms like Reddit and the Better Business Bureau are filled with complaints from frustrated homeowners who feel the contracts are designed to avoid payouts.

So YMMV...

My realtor said don't waste your money even though he gets a commission. Two decades ago I got a warranty thrown in and it was a bit of a fight to get things fixed but they did do it. Honestly you have to battle health insurance these days too.

If you have a bunch of appliances on their last leg, it might be worth it, but you absolutely won't get new ones, they'll fix what you have.

Figured. Better to have a fund for these things. Thanks.
