AIO, XMT glaze or Megs#7?

I'm thinking of doing something different. I don't know if you can put glaze on top of AIO. Can you?
This week I'm getting a Acura to do. He wants the best stuff I have. Yes I will be going all out. Mostly Pinnacle products.
Wash
Clay
XMT polish (I haven't seen the car, so I don't know how bad the paint is.)
AIO
Glaze Megs#7 or XMT glaze?
Souveran paste wax.
What do you think?

I really think you could skip AIO in this situation. You can apply #7 after XMT Glaze as well, but that might be too many steps. I like the look of #7 ontop of a wax, but it is usually gone after a wash or two; thus I would recommend using it before Souveran.

I'm not totally sure if you can use #7 or XMT Glaze after AIO, but I would take an educated guess and say you could. I've used #7 ontop of a wax and ontop of a cured sealant with no problems, so I would have to say you would be safe using #7 or XMT Glaze after AIO.
 
These three products really arent all that similar, even if in name it applies.

AIO -- paint cleaner with acrylic protection

XMT Glaze -- light finishing polish with some carnauba protection

#7 Glaze --- a pure glaze, all oils and wetting agents and NO protection
 
You are probably doing this Acura in one day, so i dont know about putting all those products on top of each other.

Anyway, i also would skip the AIO here (DG#101?) The XMT series gives a good gloss and finish on the paint, so from that to xmt glaze (cure?) and then Pinnacle PW should give a great result. If you go for the AIO, you know that the #101 looks superb (skip glaze), that with Pinnacle is a killer combo. But here comes the curing time for best result.

In any case Sparkie, what ever you do, I KNOW the result you get are MORE than SATISFYING. You do great work

I personally would do the following, giving the steps you want to do. What color is the car?

wash>clay>polish>glaze (XMT or #7)>wax

Have you ruled out the question of a sealant? Sealants most of the time look better on white than a wax.

I do agree with you on that. He wants the very best paste wax I have. He's a old-timer and he did ask me about Simoniz:D :p

:confused: He wants the very best you have, Simoniz? Did you tell him about Kit? :D Maybe some Johnsons paste wax.
 
XMT Glaze and PS are amazing on white. That is the combo I kept on my Silverado over winter.

Haven't used AIO in a long time (spring cleaning). I want to put a good sealant down before glaze.
 
Wish I knew how to get a vote on this.
XMT glaze or Megs #7?

Just AIO. The man wants glaze and Simoniz. I explain to him I don't use Simoniz. Then he said the best paste I got.
