what air compressor to use with the Tornador Black
what size Thanks

I have a 6 gal tank, it does the job fairly well and it's constantly on when it's heavily used, i'd suggest nothing under 6 gal tank due to the recharge rate, 10 gal would probably be ideal.

Thinking about the Harbor Freight one
21 Gallons 4.7 scfm at 90
and 5.8 at 40
what do u guys think???

I looked at this one this week actually. In the store it said that it produced 11.1 CFM so I was totally going to get it. Then I looked into it online, and found totally different CFM. I've got a 6 gal craftsman that barely keeps it working. I tried the Harbor Freight 8 Gal 5.5 CFM at 90psi and it barely ran it. I have a Porter Cable 30 Gal with 8.3 CFM at 40 Psi and 5.8 @ 90PSI and it runs it a hell of a lot better than anything else. There is a huge difference when it comes to CFM vs tank size.

The tornador original, which is the one that I have, drinks a LOT of air. The PC comressor has been the only one that can keep up with the demands. The other compressors work for a bit but I cant even do a dash with out letting it charge back up. Its a pain in the ass and the fact that you need to invest in such a powerful compressor its not worth it in my opinion.

Kris wrote about his experiences with it you might wanna search on his thread. The way I look at it, even if you have a 30 gal tank that only puts out5.3 cfm and a tool that runs at 9.5cfm, you are using more air than what the tank can put out even with a reserve.

The Black Tornador should to use less air
what I am hearing
