All of the washes

Alright, I think I’ve got all these fancy schmancy wash types down but I’d like some input from the experts. Or, a bunch of people here…

Regular wash, with foam sprayer or not. Do this if a car is real dirty or car owner request

Rinseless wash. Done if the car hasn’t been deep cleaned in a while. Maybe a few weeks in the right environment

Waterless wash. More of a spot clean or dust/water spot remover

Is this about right? What am I missing?

Which leads to a few more questions about which type to use in which situations. It sounds like if I’m doing any sort of correction, just a cleaner like Uber or the McKees product?

But if the vehicle has had the business, it should get one of the SiO2 infused washes? Or is that simply personal preference?

How wrong am I?

Just a quick synopsis:

Regular (or bucket, 2 bucket, foaming or not) wash is for heavily soiled vehicles)

Rinseless wash is for lightly soiled vehicles, but a pre-soak and very careful techniques should be used.

Waterless wash is for fingerprints, dust, or as a gloss enhancer.

What paul said. Also imo thise sio2 infused soaps are just a money making thing.

Just stick to the soaps with no infused or protection added. If ya want protection of some sort...add it afterthe wash or use drying aide

I'm almost exclusively rinseless.

If there's a lot of loose or caked on debris, I'll power wash first. Other than that I'm all rinseless.

I'll use waterless sometimes too. I'll use a true waterless for heavier dust and lighter soiling, and a detailer for light dust.

Are there cleaners/soaps that are less harsh on waxes or sealants? Or do you just dilute them more?
