i'm located in Malaysia and we don't get PCs over here as i've not seen them offered in 220/240VAC. Can anyone make alternative recommendations for an orbital polisher as an alternative to a PC7424 that will also give me the flexibilty of changing the backing plates like the PC?

TIA..

I have the same voltage problem here in Australia and I use a Bosch PEX400 and have had good results.:)

keggus, are you able to change the backing plates on the Bosch PEX400 like the PC to accomodate the smaller 4in pads?

We have the same electric current in the UK so we order the PC's from the States and use a step down transformer.

Sorry for the late reply, had some ISP issues.
Yes the PEX400 is a random orbit sander, I have not tried to change backing plates but would assume this would not be possible ast the factory backing plate has lugs that locate it to the body. It has 400 watts and I have found it to be powerful enough. The shape of the tool is its biggest issue it is very tall, which can make it awkward to get into tight spots. The second handle on the Bosch is on the front of the unit not on the side like the porter cable.
