Hey All - been a while since I posted but need some input.

Are there any close substitutes to Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel? I've been using this stuff for 10-15 years and absolutely love it. I'm an enthusiast and a gallon usually last me a few years. When I went to reorder, the price had gone up ( which I'm good with ) but the shipping was just too expensive. Also, there's only one source that carries the gallon size so it looks like the distribution channels have tightened up. I have no qualms about the shipping costs as that's our new normal, but it's just gotten too expensive, at least for my situation.

I usually use this about once a month or so for our personal cars. Cleans very well, safe, and the smell is excellent. I do routine my routine cleanings with a dampened WW towel so I don't need a mild cleaner, for which I know there are multitudes of options.

TIA for any advice you can give me.

Are you looking at Sky's the Limit? I show shipping on the gallon at 10.70 for FedEx or 13.70 for UPS, that seems reasonable to me, price on the gallon is $52.99.

BTW, Ultima and Four Star have been fading out for a long time, and Rick Vaal sold Premium Finish Care to someone else a couple of years ago, although he was supposedly staying on as a consultant.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, Sky's the limit is where I was going to buy it. I try to support Corey's biz as much as possible. The $52.99 doesn't bother me. But the shipping was something like $16.50 for the cheapest method. Of course, he's in FL and I'm in AZ which accounts for this.

Good info to know about Premium Finish Care. I've been an enthusiast detailer for 15 years and have seen several names leave the industry over time. I guess I should either nut up and buy a few gallons, or at least make an attempt to see if there is a substitute that satisfies me. With all the new players that have come into the market over the past few years I was just hoping someone might have something similar.

I know we're all spoiled by Amazon, but with today's shipping costs, $16.50 doesn't sound too bad to ship a gallon across the country. You may have noticed that Corey has free shipping at $95, so a second gallon or some other stuff you've been itching to try....and there you go, free shipping!

Thanks for the idea. I need to pick up some Solution Finish and may as well get a second gallon of the Ultima so the shipping issue goes away.
