Alumacraft / Paint Coating

Hello,
I have an Alumacraft boat that i am thinking about putting a paint coating on. It is painted with automotive paint and clear coated.

I have never used a coating before....see a lot of talk about them and they last a year or so.....?

What would be a good coating to use ?

Possibly a permanent coating such as Opti-coat 2.0 might be best in this situation.

But there are other coatings that range from 1-3 yr according to their claims.
