Hey gang,
So the hubby just got his Jeep back from having some new steering setup work done.
New drag link, tie-rod and track bar are all nice, new shiny aluminum.

He asked if I had something to put on them to keep them from pitting.
I don’t think I do at the moment that is specific to aluminum.

What do you all suggest?

Thx in advance.

I would maybe try a can of clearcoat. Try spraying it on carefully. I did that to a steering shaft that was raw, threw a coat on to avoid rust.

Maybe a regular coating of something like Fluid Film.

Nice and shiny, was that to get rid of the famous Jeep death wobbles?
It was to upgrade the overall steering.
And the last set up had gotten "wobbly" LOL

Check out Dr. Beasley's Metal Coat. This can be used on chrome and aluminium. It's wiped on and buffed clear, kinda like a liquid wax. Lasts forever too.

Dr. Beasley's certainly has some esoteric products...I'll keep that one in mind, for...something.
