Well, as you can see I'm not a new member and honestly I don't have much time to post, but it seems like I'm always learning new things. I'm really thankful for everyone in this community. You guys have been so much help and I can always count your help and tips. I have a C5 that will be 10 years old this July and she looks beautiful. I was forced to take her to the dealership last year and they thought she had just been repainted. I was so proud......Im the MAN

As we all know winter brings long nights. I have noticed lately that even when there isn't much lilght shining on the finish of a car I can tell the condition of its paint. I can tell if a car has recently been washed and then driven in the rain or if it hasn't been washed in a long....time. The "normal" person couldn't hear these stories from the paint. I have been blessed and cursed hahaha... with the knowledge and eye for these things. yeah...I know I have it bad.

Congratulations on being a perfectionist! :props:

Isn't it great being that aware of a vehicles finish that you know it almost has a pulse?

Owing a car a long time lets you look back at its journey and remember all the places its taken you and all the memories it's provided.....:dblthumb2:

Ha, I got in a 'spirited drive' with a C5 the other day ... I realized he was pacing behind me around 90, so I buried it on a straight section just before a beautiful sweeping curve. He played along. I was plenty able to keep pace until after the bend, then he shot by.

always nice seeing Corvetteforum members here too !

I can't wait to get the vette out again. I have been detailing her in preparation for spring. I'm done with the paint. I'm now working on the wheels. The other day she sure was talking to me though, come on lets for a ride come on.....

I have made a lot of memories with this car and I hope to have many more. After all this time, it is still hard for me to believe she is really mine.

You must be doing a great job of taking care of her, Vettes are a bit more difficult in the paint section to tend to but a Black Vette is the motherload of pain in the butt paint! Congrats on your shiny baby!

It is a lot of work but something about detailing relaxes/calms me. I get satisfaction out of a clean ride.
