If I use it on the vinyl on my boat, will it take the wax off the fiberglass as well?

it is quite strong, I would think it would remove most waxes and likely some/all of a sealant.

:iagree::whs: Are you talking about the vinyl stepping areas on the gel coat? I'd just build a little MF dam around those areas and scrub with APC and a brush. The dash and other I'd put APC on a MF and wipe.
