American Le Mans - Road America

I went last year but can't fit it in this time. Patrick Long signed my car a few weeks ago. Go Lizards!I typically attend the Grand Am Series races since my friends run in it from Brumos Porsche. But, it's Lizards all the way for American Le Mans for me.

There is a very good Portuguese pilot in this series: he runs for Action Express and, this year, has already won in Detroit and the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen :dblthumb2:

I know, he doesn't drive a Porsche...
 
There is a youtube video of Joao taking his wife around Daytona in the DP car. It is a classic. Action Express used to be a Porsche team until last year. They were teamed up with Brumos here in Jacksonville and shared shop space. Brumos went back into GT and Action moved north and made the move to Corvette. Lots of great drivers on that team.
 
I haven't been to a race since I was old enough to remember, so this weekend at Road America was quite the experience. And to my amazement, I believe my wife will be dragging me to the next race near us. Between talking to one of the TRG drivers while checking out the cars on the paddock and getting to watch her favorite team, Muscle Milk, make a dash from four laps down to an attempt on the lead at the final corner of the race, she was literally jumping up and down in excitement for eight hours straight...

I have about a day of going through pictures to see if I have any good action shots of the Lizards.
 
That was one of the best finishes I have seen in a very long time. Milk gave it their best that is for sure.
